20 Worst DCEU Movie Moments (So Far)

6. Amanda Waller Is The Mark - Suicide Squad

Man of Steel Dumb
Warner Bros.

Suicide Squad is a famously plot hole-filled movie and this mid-film twist is perhaps the biggest example of this.

It's revealed that the Mark Amanda Waller sent the Suicide Squad to rescue is actually Waller herself, but this doesn't make any sense. Why was Amanda Waller hiding out in some random skyscraper in Midway City? Why didn't she just leave on a helicopter herself? Sure, she was getting the squad to save her in order to cover up her involvement in Enchantress' rampage but surely there was an easier, less complicated plan?

What's even more bizarre is when she kills all the FBI subordinates and then justifies it by saying that they weren't cleared for any of it. If they weren't cleared, why did she bring them? And why does Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman), a more moral character than most of the others, just shrug her appalling actions off?
