2. "Martha!" - Batman V Superman

Everyone still remembers this and not in for a good reason.

Inevitably, Batman and Superman would team up against Lex Luthor, but there has got to have been a better way to mend their rift then having Superman yell out "SAVE MARTHA!", which caused Batman to stop fighting him once he realised he and Superman's mothers had the same name. All of a sudden, the pair act like good friends and all of their previous bad blood is conveniently forgotten.

Everything about this was completely wrong. It's contrived and clunky, it ends the fight between Batman and Superman far too soon (based on a name-based coincidence of all things) and this revelation shouldn't have changed Batman's attitude to Superman so completely. What a load of terrible writing!

The only thing this scene will provoke is eye-rolling or unintentional laughter - probably both. It's an abysmally-written scene that is unlikely to be forgotten by anyone unfortunate enough to sit through it anytime soon, so what could possibly be worse?
