20 Worst Movie Moments Of 2019

4. The Haunting Of Sharon Tate - The Re-Enactment

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood wasn't the only fictionalized spin on the Mason Family killings of Sharon Tate and four others in 2019. There was also this abysmal horror film in which Sharon Tate (Hilary Duff), shortly before the murders, begins having premonitions of what's going to happen.

It was bad enough seeing the murders turned into an idiotic, atrociously edited fight scene in Once Upon a Time, but that pales in comparison to Haunting's recreation of the real event in premonition form, which is about as insultingly awful as cinema gets.

In Haunting, what was a terrible real-life tragedy is shown through a badly-acted, gratuitously violent, poorly-written and idiotic re-enactment that won't so much annoy as leave you shaking with anger. Case in point: when a cult member is violently stabbing her, Abigail Folger (Lydia Hearst) says "You got me. I'm already dead." Just dreadful.

Because the murders are depicted in such an exploitative manner, Haunting might just be the most offensive film of 2019. It's certainly one of the worst.
