20 Worst Movie Moments Of The Decade

9. A Good Day To Die Hard - Helicopter Battle

Movie 43 Hugh Jackman
20th Century Fox

Atrociously written, staggeringly soulless and numbingly boring, A Good Day to Die Hard was by far the biggest cinematic disappointment since Indiana Jones 4 and a sad ruination of a once-brilliant franchise.

With this stunningly bland, tension-free, poorly-lit and visually awful mess of a final showdown (in which John and Jack McClane fight against some Russian terrorists doing... something or other at Pripyat, the abandoned city next to Chernobyl), Die Hard 5 cemented itself as one of the worst action films ever made, which is ironic since it's a sequel to one of the best action films ever made.

As well as this, the less said about the cringe-worthy father-son reconciliation between John McClane (a visibly embarrassed Bruce Willis) and his son (played atrociously by Jai 'Terminator: Genesys' Courtney), the better.

In general, this putrid exercise in blockbuster film-making was a legitimately heart-breaking let-down for the franchise's many, many fans. The other four Die Hard films were awesome, so seeing the Die Hard property so utterly destroyed no doubt left all the franchise's fan's sobbing into their popcorn. Titanic eat your heart out.
