20 Worst Movie Moments Of The Decade

15. The Snowman - Worst. Thriller. Finale. Ever?

This absolutely disastrous attempt to bring Jo Nesbo's brilliant series of crime novels to the big screen became one of the most hated movies of 2017 and it's easy to see why. Not only is it a total mess to the extent where even the director apologised for it, but it's got one of the worst finales to any film in recent memory.

Detective Harry Hole's (Michael Fassbender) showdown with a one-dimensional villain is about as flat, boring and anticlimactic as thriller cinema can get and it also ends out of nowhere with the villain randomly falling through a frozen lake.

What makes this all even more insulting is that there was a blueprint for something far better in the novel's finale. Not only was the villain far better-written, but the book had an amazing climax involving the Oslo ski jump.

Still, out of the 20 movies discussed on this list, The Snowman is the best, so that's something I suppose.
