20 Worst Movie Moments Of The Decade
14. Texas Chainsaw 3D - Slaughterhouse Finale
Texas Chainsaw 3D was given the wrong title. It should've been called 'Plot Holes: The Movie' since that's basically what it is.
A mish-mash of dumb decisions, stupid characters and relentlessly ridiculous sequences, Texas Chainsaw 3D is a film so stupid it makes Snakes on a Plane look like a documentary, while it's also hopelessly incompetent as both a horror film and as a direct sequel to the 1974 classic original.
The film's stupidity peaks in the film's finale, in which the town's corrupt sheriff leaves Heather (a relative of Leatherface's) tied up for him as bait, but once Leatherface arrives and realises Heather's his cousin (due to a birthmark), he frees her and they team up against the town's corrupt police department.
Whatever way you look at it, this is beyond nonsensical. Heather being angry about the murders of the Sawyer family despite them being a bunch of murderous cannibals and then joining forces with the guy who just murdered her friends is a testament to just how preposterous a narrative can be. The film doubles down on this nonsense by having her stay to be Leatherface's caretaker after the fight because... reasons.
