12. Norm Of The North
Pixar and Disney and even Illumination have a reputation for making great animations because they cater to all audiences, regardless of age. They don't add in deeper, complex material to alienate kids and they don't rely on silly puerile jokes to attract the kids - that's what Michael Bay is for. So when animations like Norm Of The North come along, aiming squarely at the children's market in a way that feels almost perverse in its inaccessibility to the people with the power to talk it up and pass on good publicity, it always feels like a strange decision.
That's not to say it should be lambasted purely because it holds no merit for adult audiences though - it would be difficult to even recommend the animation to exclusively infant audiences either, unless as a colour board for distraction. Beyond that, there's just nothing.
Rob Schneider stars as Norm, an ecology warrior polar bear trying to stop the world's biggest idiot businessman who wants to build "luxury" and presumably fatally cold homes in the North Pole. Sure there's a nice message in there about not messing with nature, but it's been played out a lot, and there's nothing a twerking polar bear can offer that a dancing penguin didn't do far, far better.
