17. Atomica

It's now been a good few years since Lost star Dominic Monaghan and Tom Sizemore were top-billed stars, but it's still sad to see them reduced to making SyFy movies.

Now, Atmica is not the same as some of the bargain basement dross that channel puts out so gleefully - and marks their second attempt to make actual cinematic releases - but even as a more grown-up attempt, it's hampered badly by over-reliance on cliches. And it all lacks that extra level of polish, even with such recognisable stars.

It actually could have been a bit more ambitious with its story, which would have been more service to it than spending (presumably) too much on the leads. Because the story of a man disturbed by mysterious power plant employees while he works a lonely job could have been compelling sci-fi material.
