18. Deep Water

365 Days
Hulu

Absolutely hilarious and yet deeply, deeply terrible, the long-delayed Deep Water attempted in vain to bring the erotic thriller back to the mainstream.

While dropping it day-and-date on streaming was a smart choice, it was painfully clear to anyone watching that it was being dumped by a disinterested studio.

On an inexplicable $50 million budget, Deep Water is a howlingly cack-handed but extremely funny romp that's neither erotic nor thrilling, with anyone tuning in to watch Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas in various states of undress sure to be disappointed by the tame approach to sexuality.

The thriller elements, meanwhile, are mesmerisingly stupid, culminating in a climax so gut-bustingly amusing it almost makes the film worth recommending. Almost.

You have to wonder what got so many talented actors aboard something so schlocky, honestly.
