20 Worst Movies Of 2022
7. Warhunt
Okay, now we're getting to the real bottom of the barrel. From here on out, the entries on this list are devoid of redeemable qualities.
Which brings us to the abominable mess, WarHunt. In this supernatural thriller, Mickey Rourke plays an eyepatch-sporting WWII soldier who must battle Nazis while behind enemy lines.
Oh, and there's magic... and witches. Even though the premise sounds dumb, blending paranormal themes with World War II isn't always a recipe for disaster. (Look how well Dead Snow, Overlord, and Deathwatch turned out.)
However, it's impossible to get on board WarHunt, due to the godawful editing and lighting. The movie is so dark, you genuinely can't see what's happening in the action scenes, especially the climax. Due to the janky editing, you can't tell which character is talking or who they're speaking to. Every soldier is so one-note, you'd swear the actors were giving their scripts on the day, giving them zero time to find any nuance in their characters.
So, if you can't follow the story, care about the characters, or see the action, what's the point in watching this crap?
