You know what the world wasn't asking for? A gender-swapped remake of cult classic 1999 rom-com She's All That for the TikTok generation.

Predictably, this is a lazy, charmless retelling that doesn't even do anything fun, clever, or basically cute with the gender-swap aspect.

From the damning lack of chemistry between Addison Rae and Tanner Buchanan to the generic script, egregious product placement, and flat, un-cinematic filmmaking, this is about as cynical as reboots get. And it feels even more depressing coming from Mean Girls director Mean Girls.

At least Matthew Lillard looks like he's having fun, and hopefully got a nice payday for his cameo as the kooky school principal, but otherwise this is completely creatively bankrupt and a literal joy-thief of a movie.

Stay at home dad who spends as much time teaching his kids the merits of Martin Scorsese as possible (against the missus' wishes). General video game, TV and film nut. Occasional sports fan. Full time loon.
