9. Gabriel Macht (The Spirit) - The Spirit

While the likes of Samuel L. Jackson and Scarlett Johansson gave performances silly enough to be somewhat entertaining, Gabriel Macht made for an exceptionally bland protagonist in Frank Miller's much-ridiculed comic book adaptation.

Much like Supergirl, Macht took an interesting hero and made him a total bore, his good looks and gruff voice both proving generic enough that one has to wonder how such a little-known actor landed such a huge part.

Almost every other actor in the movie is more interesting than him, and without a compelling lead at the helm, is it any surprise at all that the film was a box office dud? At least Macht landed on his feet with a lucrative role on hit show Suits a few years later, where he's decidedly less of a dullard.
