20 WTF 2015 Movie Moments You Probably Missed

10. Salt In The Wound - Slow West

Jay (Kodi Smit-McPhee) finally locates Rose Ross (Caren Pistorius), the love of his life and woman he has been seeking for the entire movie. However, a gang is assaulting Rose's home at the time, and in the confusion, Jay is shot by Rose when he bursts in to help her. As Jay slumps down to the floor, he sees Rose receive a kiss from her Native American bodyguard, Kotori (Kalani Queypo), making it clear that his advances were fruitless. To literally rub salt in the wound, as the shootout continues, a jar of salt above him is shot and explodes, sending salt pouring all over him, leaving him in pure agony as it seeps into his wound and he slowly dies. It gets no points for subtlety, but this hysterical sight gag helps lighten the load during an intense moment. The best use of salt in cinema history, perhaps?
