8. Frankenstein's Monster Is Barely In It - Victor Frankenstein
Yet another attempt to give the Frankenstein tale a fresh lick of paint, this one rather depressingly doesn't even reveal the monster until the final 10 minutes of the film, where he's finally brought to life by Victor (James McAvoy). Sadly, even when he finally shows up, the contemporary Prometheus design just looks like a generic brute who gets in a few kills before being bested by Victor and Igor (Daniel Radcliffe). Considering how much of the big guy audiences expect to see in any Frankenstein movie, this was a hugely bizarre choice, all the more so considering how the film was marketed.
Stay at home dad who spends as much time teaching his kids the merits of Martin Scorsese as possible (against the missus' wishes).
