Joe Wright's Peter Pan reboot was a flaming trainwreck for a multitude of reasons, though arguably the most perplexing choice was the decision to feature Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit and The Ramones' Blitzkreig Pop on the movie's soundtrack. Now, we weren't merely treated to the studio versions made famous by these artists, but rather, these two songs were chanted by Neverland's pit miners en masse. On one hand, it's an undeniably ballsy move and Wright probably deserves very faint praise for trying something different...but there's just not much rhyme or reason to it, and it really just seems like weird for no sake but its own.
