20 WTF Moments From Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation

7. "Hunt Is The Living Manifestation Of Destiny"

Alec Baldwin gives one of the film's best performances as the CIA honcho who doesn't much care for the IMF's cavalier methods and has them dismantled near the start of the movie. However, later on when he's talking to the British Prime Minister (Tom Hollander) about Hunt's methods, he goes on a lengthy speech about the man's accolades, ending with the outrageous one-liner, "Hunt is the living manifestation of destiny." It's sure to send audiences the world over into howling fits, an incredibly out-of-place line that Baldwin nevertheless shoots home with all the conviction in his body. It's one of the movie's most memorable moments, and though weird, shows that Baldwin is having a damn good time.
