8. Ethan "Dies" Yet Again

Ethan has kinda-died in one previous M:I film and definitely died in another: he used a face-mask to make Sean Ambrose (Dougray Scott) think he killed him in the second film, and after Davian implanted an explosive inside his head in MI:3, Julia had to electrocute him to death and then restart his heart, bringing him back to life. Well, Hunt dies yet again in Rogue Nation during the underwater set-piece, running out of oxygen and having to be rescued by Ilsa, who fishes him out of the drink and resuscitates him with a defibrillator. Cue Ethan walking around disorientated for a few minutes while he and Benji attempt to escape from Lane's pursuing goons. In short, he's rivalling Jack Bauer for the highest number of ridiculous resurrections.
