20 WTF Moments From The Resident Evil Movies

By far the most memorable scene in the first movie, if not the entire franchise, is the laser room sequence, where the team of commandos sent to shut down The Hive are sealed in a hallway that fires a red-hot laser at them in video game-like waves (rather than just dice them all with a single laser net from the start, because the Red Queen wanted to toy with them, apparently).

There are so many awesome and ridiculous moments here: a guy loses his fingers and dies from shock, the medic of the team gets her head sliced clean off, another guy tries to jump and dodge the laser but it follows him and cuts him in half, and the leader of the group (Colin Salmon) ultimately gets cubed by a laser grid a mere second before Kaplan (Martin Crewes) can shut it off.

If only he'd stepped back like two feet, he would've survived.
