Another majorly bizarre and contentious aspect of Burton's film is that his Batman actually kills people despite the superhero's long-standing no-kill rule. When infiltrating one of The Joker's buildings in the third act, his Batmobile is shot at by countless guards. His response? He armours up the vehicle and drops a bomb out the side of it, surely killing pretty much every poor goon in the building. Then, right at the very end of the film, Batman fights one of The Joker's henchmen on top of the clock tower and ends up hurling him down the shaft in the middle of the building, falling at least 100 feet to his certain death (pictured above).
