2012 Films: Best And Worst Of The Year Awards

Worst Picture

WINNER: Keith Lemon: The Film (dir. Paul Angunawela) No film this year, or perhaps in any year, has invoked my ire as much as Keith Lemon: The Film, a turgid, unimaginative, lazy, senseless, idiotic, completely unfunny film that just might signify an impending apocalypse, at least culturally. Virtually incomprehensible, completely inane, and poorly acted - despite a game Kelly Brook sending herself up - there's nothing that this soul-crushingly perfunctory film gets right; it doesn't raise a single laugh, simply a continuous series of sighs, making for easily the most depressing cinema trip of my life. This may be the worst film ever made, and believe me, I've seen my share of contenders.
