20 Upcoming Horror Movies That Might Surprise You

Onslaught is a new action-packed horror-thriller from Adam Wingard (You're Next, The Guest), and though the film wrapped shooting well over a year ago, Wingard and A24 are still holding their cards close to the chest.

All we know so far is that Adria Arjona stars as a mother living in a trailer park who is forced to use her skills to protect her loved ones from an unspecified threat that has escaped from a secret military base, all while a group of mercenaries attempt to contain it.

The fact that Dan Stevens is among the cast led some fans to suggest that Onslaught could be a secret sequel to The Guest, though that (sadly) seems quite unlikely.

Though some have indicated that mixed martial artist Alex Pereira may be playing the human villain, we still don't know for sure, and the vagueness of the logline has left some wondering about a potential monster being set loose.

It wouldn't be too surprising if the movie's marketing kept vague about the exact nature of the threat until release, but either way, the ever-playful Wingard is probably going to relish bamboozling audiences with a few bloody shocks and surprises.
