20 Actors Who Will CRUSH Upcoming Movie Roles

11. Cate Blanchett - How to Train Your Dragon 2

There's surely no better proof of an actor's ability to totally own a role than having basically done it already, as is the case with Cate Blanchett in How to Train Your Dragon 2.

Even if you can ignore the fact that we're talking about Cate friggin' Blanchett, the two-time Oscar winner has been cast in the live-action remake sequel as Viking warrior Valka Haddock - the long-lost mother of protagonist Hiccup (Mason Thames).

Blanchett voiced Valka in the animated version of the sequel back in 2014 and did a splendid job bringing both strength and vulnerability to the character, so many fans hoped to see her reprise the role in live-action form, as Gerard Butler did for Hiccup's father Stoick the Vast.

Thankfully that's what's now happening, and if you can forgive the questionable necessity of these remakes when the original animated films are still so recent, there's simply nobody better for this part than Cate.
