20 Actors Who Will CRUSH Upcoming Movie Roles

4. Lars Eidinger - Man of Tomorrow

James Gunn's Superman sequel Man of Tomorrow will see the Man of Steel take on legendary supervillain Brainiac, and considering his immense popularity among DC fans, it was absolutely vital not to whiff the casting.

German actor Lars Eidinger was only a few months ago announced to be playing the part, and though he's certainly not an A-list household name, his dramatic work up to this point demonstrates both his screen presence and skill at playing calculating characters.

But Eidinger is also a dab hand at comedy, which is probably what caused Gunn to gravitate towards him.

And if Gunn's previous work has told us anything, it's that he's extremely good at sniffing out lesser-known actors to play hugely pivotal roles and then giving them the runway to knock it out of the park.

And on top of all this, it'll be fun to have a Brainiac with a German accent, assuming Gunn lets him keep it, of course.
