20 Actors Who Will CRUSH Upcoming Movie Roles

Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma is the latest horror film from the great Jane Schoenbrun (We're All Going to the World's Fair, I Saw the TV Glow), and follows a queer filmmaker (Hannah Einbinder) hired to direct the next installment in the Camp Miasma slasher franchise.

Said filmmaker becomes obsessed with hiring the reclusive actress who played the final girl in the original film, and who here is played by Gillian Anderson.

Anderson is a fantastic actress who has built up an enviable body of work in recent years in particular, and so it's frankly surprising that it's taken this long for her to co-star in an outright horror movie.

But the part of a middle-aged actress dragged back to the role that kickstarted her career sounds like it should give Anderson a whole lot to do, especially as the plot synopsis mentions that she'll embark on a psychosexual odyssey with her director.

While the particulars of the story remain firmly under wraps for now, this is one heck of an exciting collaboration, and could very well see Anderson enter her outright Scream Queen era. Here's hoping.
