20 Actors Who Will CRUSH Upcoming Movie Roles

15. Milly Alcock - Supergirl

It was immediately easy to have faith when Milly Alcock was cast as the DC Universe's iteration of Supergirl - aka Kara Zor-El - if only because she gave a terrific performance as the young version of Rhaenyra Targaryen in House of the Dragon.

And this was backed up by the brief preview of Alcock's Supergirl we were given in last year's Superman reboot, where a drunk Kara rocked up to retrieve her dog Krypto from Clark (David Corenswet).

The scene was a hilarious tone-setter that made it clear the DCU will be giving us a more rebellious and mischievous Supergirl, counter to her more earnest, straight-laced cousin and totally in line with the Woman of Tomorrow Supergirl comics.

Since then the trailers for Supergirl further suggest that James Gunn and his team absolutely nailed it by casting Alcock, and while it remains to be seen if the film can take flight at the box office, if it falters, it surely won't be because of the central casting.
