20 Recent Movie Rumours That Were Total BULL
4. Sam & Quorra Will Appear - Tron: Ares
The Rumour:
With it being confirmed in the lead up to Tron: Ares' release that the blockbuster sequel would feature Jeff Bridges' Kevin Flynn in a supporting role, rumours swirled that we'd also get to see two prominent characters introduced in the previous film, Tron: Legacy - Flynn's son Sam (Garrett Hedlund) and his program companion, Quorra (Olivia Wilde).
And even though Hedlund himself confirmed that he wouldn't be appearing in the sequel many months before it came out, that didn't stop some assuming he was playing coy for the sake of a fun surprise.
The Truth:
Neither Sam nor Quorra physically show up in the final film, though Ares (Jared Leto) is shown brandishing a photo of the duo as he sets off to find them.
Considering that Ares flopped while teasing a sequel featuring Sam and Quorra that we're now never going to see, many fans were simply left frustrated that Ares didn't give them the direct sequel to Tron: Legacy they actually wanted.
