If you've watched many of these awards shows, you'll probably remember that no matter how many awards she's nominated for, Kate Winslet always seems ridiculously shocked when she actually wins. After winning an Oscar, four Golden Globes (including two in the same ceremony), an Emmy, two previous BAFTAs, three SAG Awards and even a Grammy, she still looked ridiculously surprised when she snagged the BAFTA for her fantastic supporting work in Steve Jobs. She puts her hand to her forehead then heads to the stage, where she struggles to maintain steady, calm breaths, perplexedly admitting that she's "overwhelmed"...despite surely seeing this coming from a million miles away. Though some might suggest that her acceptance speeches usually come off as a little false, perhaps it's simply that the awards circuit hasn't worn her down and become so "ordinary" to her like it has rather understandably to many of her colleagues.
