Ben Affleck's reputation was in tatters after his first venture into the world of comic book movies. The big screen adaptation of Daredevil was awful, with Affleck in the titular role, and still represents his only collaboration with Marvel. In fact, it's a wonder he ever got any work portraying a superhero again. As a result of that, it was something of a surprise when he was cast as DC's flagship character Batman in next year's Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice - but that's exactly what happened. Fans were in uproar, but photographs from the set and brief footage seen in trailers have allayed fears, and it's now hoped that he can put his dark Daredevil days behind him (especially considering the fact that he's contracted to continue as the Dark Knight in a solo movie that he will also write and direct)!
