Michael Fassbender has brilliantly taken on the role of the younger Erik Lensherr AKA Magneto, sharing responsibility with the excellent Ian McKellen (who plays the older version of the character), in the X-Men series. To date, he has portrayed the character in both First Class and Days Of Future Past, and he will reprise the role in next year's X-Men: Apocalypse. But he has also portrayed a character in a much poorer quality DC movie - 2010's awful Jonah Hex offering. He played Burke - the right-hand man of John Malkovich's main antagonist Quentin Turnbull. Burke was a bowler hat-wearing, tattooed, psychopathic Irishman and Fassbender's portrayal was one of the few acceptable things about the production.
