In 2010, Mark Strong played Frank D'Amico in Kick-Ass. D'Amico was the main antagonist of the movie - the leader of a criminal organisation that the titular character went up against - and he performed the role brilliantly. What a lot of people don't know, however, is that Kick-Ass is actually a Marvel property. The comic books are published under Marvel's Icon imprint, so it's easy to miss that it belongs to the media giants. Strong has also portrayed the would-be villain Sinestro in the ill-fated Green Lantern movie. For much of the story, he was a stern but heroic member of the Green Lantern Corps, but he was heading down a dark path. In the movie's mid-credits scene, he donned the yellow power ring of fear and would undoubtedly have gone on to be the main antagonist in a sequel, had one actually been made.
