Natalie Portman's first venture into the world of comic book movies came in V For Vendetta - a movie based on a Vertigo series, which is an imprint of DC. She played the main supporting character of the movie, Evey Hammond who inadvertently got caught up in the mission of the titular freedom fighter V. More recently, she has portrayed Jane Foster in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Foster is Thor's love interest and, as a result, has appeared in both of the franchise's releases so far. Portman has famously stated that she's unhappy with having to work with Marvel Studios and, in spite of the fact she has more movies in her contract, may not play Foster again.
