The Line: "I've... seen things you people wouldn't believe... Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those... moments... will be lost in time, like tears... in... rain. Time... to die..." How He Dies: Easily one of the greatest finishing speeches of all time, the Tears In The Rain monologue is followed immediately by the least explosive, but no less dramatic death, as Batty's life simply runs out. His quest to prolong his life was curiously and tragically human, and though he is undoubtedly evil, his last words are remarkably human. And to think, without actor Rutger Hauer's editing of the original monologue we wouldn't have got the beautiful imagery, that in Hauer's own words shows Hauer Deckard "what a real man is made of."
