10. Hunter's Entire Adoptive Family Dies (Paranormal Activity 4)

PA4 ends in relatively predictable and perfunctory fashion, but that doesn't make it much less messed up. Firstly, Alex's mother Holly is slammed into the ceiling by Toby and killed, then Katie snaps Alex's boyfriend Ben's neck, Alex's dad Doug is dragged off and attacked, and finally, Alex herself is assaulted and presumably killed by Katie in the movie's final shot. Now, it is possible that Doug and Alex lived, but given that the upcoming The Ghost Dimension is the final entry into the series, it seems extremely unlikely given the relatively neat (even ridiculously neat, in fact) ending they got.
