23 Worst Movie Endings Since 2000

1. The Non-Ending - The Devil Inside

The Devil Inside follows Isabella (Fernanda Andrade), a young woman filming a documentary about exorcisms in order to find out more about her mother, Maria Rossi (Suzan Crowley), who committed three murders while being exorcised. At the end of the movie, it appears that Isabella has followed in her mother's footsteps, and after she causes mayhem at a hospital, her two friends Ben and Michael drag her to their car with the hope of getting Isabella exorcised as soon as possible. However, the movie ends with Isabella appearing to possess Michael, who drives the car into oncoming traffic, and after the car crashes, we cut to black. A title card informs us the case is still unsolved, and that for more information, we should visit www.therossifiles.com. Why It Sucks: Because it's not even really an ending. The car crashes, and now what? Who survived? Who died? Why are you telling us to go to a website in what is one of the most blatant sequel plugs in movie history? Thankfully despite making a whopping $101 million at the box office, The Devil Inside's infamously negative reception from both audiences and critics nixed all plans for a sequel, and hopefully Hollywood learned a lesson about not short-changing customers, many of whom asked for their money back. Did we miss any of your most hated movie endings? Let us know in the comments!
