And finally, the most prominent actor to play two or more different characters in the James Bond films is Maud Adams, who played two major Bond Girls in the Roger Moore era.

In The Man with the Golden Gun, she played Andrea Anders, the lover of main villain Francisco Scaramanga (Christopher Lee); she wants to escape him and teams up with James Bond to take him down, but is ultimately murdered by Scaramanga once he discovers her betrayal.

In Octopussy, she headlines the film as the titular character and main Bond Girl, who's the enigmatic leader of an all-female cult of smugglers. This time, she survived to the end of the film.

It is rumoured that she was an extra in A View to a Kill, but she cannot be clearly identified in the scene in question, so she might've been cut.

Neither were top-tier Bond Girls and Maud Adams gave a better performance in her first appearance than in her second but nonetheless, although many actors have played more than one character in the franchise, there is no other who's played two such major parts.
