10. Brigitte Lahaie
Brigitte Lahaie is a French actress who started her career in the hardcore porn industry when it was legalised in France in 1976. Her innate acting talent attracted the attention of regular directors who cast her in straight (but often kinky) roles in their films. One of these directors was French vampire horror maven Jean Rollin, who gave her parts in his films Les raisins de la morte (Grapes of Death) and Fascination in 1979. Her performance in Fascination is particularly iconic. Brigitte has starred in a lot of different movies since then - softcore and mainstream. She is a respected radio journalist in her native France, and she hosts an X-rated TV channel show. You can take the girl out of sex, but you can't take the sex out of the girl!
9. Marie Liljedahl
A seriously beautiful brunette bombshell, Marie Liljedahl graced our cinema screens in the 1970s in a number of very erotic roles. She was born in Sweden, and when she was young she harboured ambitions to be a ballet dancer. When Marie was 17 years old, she caught the eye of Joel Sarno, legendary smut director, and she was cast in the sensational Euro Cult Classic Inga, as well as the sequel, The Seduction of Inga. Marie's wide-eyed, innocent look was much admired by Jess Franco, who cast her in the title role of Eugenie: The Story of Her Journey Into Perversion. This Marquis de Sade-based film is one of Franco's most watchable and critically-appreciated films. Marie went on to star in further films, taking the role of Sybil Vane in Massimo Dallamano's 1970 adaptation of Dorian Gray. Voted the top Sex Star of 1971 by Playboy, Liljedahl's career was unfortunately very short. However, she managed to make a sensational impact in her brief film career, one that has lasted through the decades.
