24 Movie Won't Happen This Year, Somebody Tell Kiefer Sutherland

? In a recent brief interview with Extra, Kiefer Sutherland says the long awaited, big screen adaptation of 24 will probably lens around December time. With Tony Scott's name raised as a director rumoured to be interested, a good fit for this film, the previous script by Billy Ray (not Miley's dad) was rejected as Fox looked likely to move quickly on Scott's idea but the project seemed to stall. Sutherland sought to play this down and says that script issues would probably continue into the actual production.

"It's a difficult thing to take something that you've done for eight years and almost 200 shows and try and find a story thats going to be unique and yet also service the history of the show. That's to be expected"
However it seems like poor old Kiefer isn't as in the loop as he would like. A publicist at 20th Century Fox, responding to an enquiry from THR on the subject, has shot his comments down;
"Unfortunately, Kiefer is over-optimistic...The project is still in development, with no director attached. All the other details have been reported."
So all you fans of the show are gonna have to wait a little while before you get another Jack Bauer fix. Until then, quench your thirst with this little rundown of his total kill count.
