24 Predictions For This Oscar Season's Rotten Tomatoes Scores
20. Steve Jobs (89%)
Predicted Critical Consensus: "A fascinating examination of a controversial but undeniably brilliant public figure, Steve Jobs sees Michael Fassbender, Danny Boyle and Aaron Sorkin soar at the height of their collective powers." With such an insane level of talent attached, it's tough to imagine this biopic being anything less than brilliant, likely to earn rapturous reviews and enjoy a ton of awards success next year, possibly even scooping the Best Picture Oscar itself. Boyle, whose career is centered largely on energetic, psychologically intense thrillers, is certainly an odd choice to direct something of this type, but the trailers suggest he's acclimated effortlessly here, while Fassbender, though not as natural a casting pick as Christian Bale (the original choice), should be as reliably brilliant as ever. Plus, with Sorkin's sharp tongue, the film should hopefully pull a Social Network, in delivering a movie that functions as a tribute to its focal figure while also realising their character flaws, far from a hagiographic puff piece.
