25 Actors You Totally Forgot Starred In Classic Horror Franchises

The Franchise: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre

The Role: Tex Sawyer in 1990's Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III.

Why You Forgot: When compared to other series like Halloween or Friday the 13th, the middle Texas Chainsaw films don't tend to get a whole lot of televised replay, making it hard to stumble across this film one night for the first time for those who aren't active fans of the franchise.

Armed with this teaser trailer and an early career performance by Mortensen, the third film is far better than its successor, The Next Generation. However, it lacks the visceral bite of the original or even the wildly different satirical voice that helped make Hooper's own sequel at least feel like less of a retread, which has kept it as a whole from being one of the series' best.
