Why You Forgot: Like Freddy Krueger's reintroduction the following year, the Friday the 13th remake wasn't entirely necessary, though it earned its fans and proved to be far better than some of the series' worst that had signaled the downfall of the franchise, like Jason Goes to Hell and Jason X. 

Much like most of the other films, the things most tend to remember are Jason's kills, like the brutal sleeping bag scene. Beyond that, though, everything in between tends to be filler, making it all too easy to forget that Panabaker - who currently stars as Caitlin Snow on The Flash - was in it at all despite having a sizable role.
