Why You Forgot: It's hard to deny that the idea behind the Hellraiser series and the terrifying capabilities of Pinhead and his fellow Cenobites offer quite a foundation for a solid franchise, but as the series has extended beyond the 1987 original, it's lost its way and its bite.

After the terrible reception the third film received, Bloodline was the last film in the franchise to receive a theatrical release, landing with a similar critical and financial thud that relegated the rest of the films to the DTV market. Scott himself - who has admitted he quickly realized what kind of film he was taking part in - eventually moved on to bigger things, particularly his time as Ben Wyatt on Parks and Recreation.
