Most Recent Film: A Most Violent Year(2014) Next Film: N/A Best Film: A Most Violent Year (2014) You might not know J.C. Chandor's name just yet, but chances are you've seen at least one of his three brilliant films. Chandor has essentially done the impossible thus far; it's three out of three across the board, having made the tense financial thriller Margin Call (starring Kevin Spacey), the downright impressive at-sea survival flick All Is Lost (with Robert Redford), and the recent mini-masterpiece that is A Most Violent Year (featuring Oscar Isaac). J.C. Chandor is exactly the kind of director who is likely to find his name missed off of lists like this, mainly because a lot of his pictures have flown under the radar. But what can be attained from all three films is that Chandor is an up-and-comer with a unique voice and the potential to make some truly amazing films in the future. At this point it feels natural to assume that J.C. Chandor will one day direct an Oscar-winning masterpiece. You heard it here first, okay?
