Like any normal teenager, Ariel belts out this pretty little number that screams of feeling alienated and being misunderstood. Of course, she was probably the only teenager who actually went and did something about it, even if it did mean selling her soul with death as a possible outcome. But this song perfectly portrays the longing and desperation to make positive changes in your life; knowing what is best for you, even if you have to stand alone.
