19. Hogwarts Teachers Throw Lockhart To The Lions - Chamber Of Secrets
Or, more accurately, to the basilisk. There are so many amazing adult actors in the Harry Potter franchise, and unfortunately most of their best moments come from parts of the books that were easy to cut out of the films, so the focus is rarely on them. But there's this brilliant scene when McGonagall and Snape, for once totally unified in their knowledge of what a complete and utter knob Lockhart is, force him into a corner where he basically has to either admit he's been lying about his accomplishments or go fight a giant snake. Of course, we know that he chooses option C, run like a coward, but in the moment you can see him visibly deflate. It's always nice to see McGonagall or Snape throwing a little shade, but when they do it together the results are first-class.
