Film: Star Wars When: As Luke flies off to the Death Star Personalising the various battles and reminding of the human side of the spectacular space wars, one of the most iconic shots from the saga (to the point it made a welcome return in The Force Awakens trailer) is the face-on look at a pilot in their spaceship, with all the tech (and, if you're lucky, R2 unit) in the back. They appear in all the movies and all follow the same visual style, but I've picked the very first X-Wing shot of this kind, where Luke receives some unexpected, reassuring advice from Obi-Wan.
