25 Best Zombie Movies Ever Made

21. Wyrmwood: Road Of The Dead

It’s rare that marketing gets the tag line of a movie so on point - but this is Mad Max meets Dawn of the Dead. It’s also pretty rare that we get movies so willing to poke fun at themselves and remain lighthearted throughout.

Australia is being overrun by flesh-eating monsters and the best ways for anyone to survive here is by staying on the move and on the road. Wyrmwood does what so many other zombies don’t anymore and have the dead front and centre as a key part of the plot - rather than just a backdrop to tell a greater story.

This could have very easily been throw away trash, but this is a pretty fun zombie film with a decent twist that should be enjoyed and not spoiled. This movie achieves quite a lot in such a short space of time.
