25 Best Zombie Movies Ever Made

22. Night Of The Comet

Night Of The Comet
MGM

Night of the Comet stands out from the rest in the Zombie genre for a fair few reasons, but if there is one take away from this movie, it has to be the upbeat, carefree 80s feel.

It is the end of the world as a comet has whipped out almost all of mankind, causing others to become flesh-eating zombies and the streets to become a ghost town, but what do our two leads do for most of this movie? Well, head to the mall and shop of course. This tone shouldn't really work, but somehow it does and almost plays out as a fantasy to what it would be like to have the world to yourself.

This is all topped off with some fantastic visuals, with the sky painted red - thanks to dust left behind by the comet. The zombies here are pretty much second fiddle, as the girls enjoy shopping, but when they are on-screen, they steal every scene. Especially as they love to talk and intimidate their potential victims.

More fun than horror, but Night of the Comet certainly does compliment the genre well.
