25 Greatest Easter Eggs From The Last 20 Years Of Horror

1. Scream - Halloween H20

The previous Screamloween egg pointed to the outright connection between Scream 2 and Halloween H20 - each were playing on a TV set in the other movie. It might€™ve been easier to spot.

The biggest laugh writer Kevin Williamson had when scripting Scream wasn€™t simply having his characters namecheck horror villains and their movies. The sign of this true homage goes undetected as mere action-driven dialogue.

In the first Scream, as Casey Becker (Drew Barrymore) is being sliced up by Ghostface her parents return home to a house full of smoke and a phone emitting the groans of their dying daughter. Unable to dial out, Mr. Becker tells his wife to €œGet in the car, drive down to the Mackenzies,€ - a line Laurie Strode says to the two children in the original Halloween movie.

Fast forward a few years to the events of Halloween H20, when a grown-up Strode tells her son and his girlfriend to run from her murderous brother Michael and call for help. Where does she tell them to go? €œDown the street to the Beckers.€
