Charity Burbage is basically just a quiz question for Potter fans. The Muggle Studies professor from Hogwarts wasn't exactly memorable in life, but you know what? It honestly doesn't even matter. Her death scene is so horrifying that it doesn't require an emotional connection with the character to earn its spot on this list. It's the opening scene of Deathly Hallows, when the Evil League of Evil is holding a meeting at Malfoy Manor. After a few minutes of casually evil conversation from the bad guys, we can't help but notice the figure of a woman, grotesquely levitating over the dining table. She pleads with Snape (her old work colleague and apparently a "friend", remember) for help, but he refuses, and she is fed to Nagini. No joke, guys, that's how they start the movie. Even though we as an audience don't know Professor Burbage very well, there's something about her weak, terrified cries for help that sort of make you feel like your heart has been torn out of your chest and shown to you.
