This concept art from Revenge Of The Sith showcases a new type of ship, more than a little reminiscent of the future Star Destroyers used by the Empire.

Ships even more similar to the original Star Destroyers do appear in the final version of the movie, under the control of the Clone Army. Perhaps these unknown ships were discarded in favour of a more traditional design.
